Miss Cole was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late John B. and Pearl Hicks Cole. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Glen Cole. Miss Cole was a Charter Member of the Biltmore Baptist Church. Survivors include several cousins. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. COLE -- Funeral services for Grace Cole, 86, 155 Lacy Hollow Road, Elizabethton, who died Friday, May 25, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, May 27, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Burl Garland and the Rev. Mark Grubb officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 28, in the Cole Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. Monday, will be Jack Honeycutt, Harold Dean Hicks, Hearley Carroll, John Snavely, John Hart and Forney Danner. Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Colbaugh, Bill Williams, George Montgomery, Ronnie Hodge, Gregory Hodge and Wayne Hicks. A Special "Thank You" to the Staff of ICU of Sycamore Shoals Hospital, the Staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home and the Rev. Dale Greenwell. Also surviving are her caregivers, Joel and Marie Hodge, Elizabethton. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. Monday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
