CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Maxine Kelly Cole, 22Aug 2002 ----¤¤¤---- Maxine K. Cole Maxine Kelly Cole, 70, 320 Lewis Cole Loop, Elizabethton, died Thursday, August 22, 2002, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Mrs. Cole was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Coy and Pauline Trivette Kelly. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Bass, and a brother, Paul Kelly. Mrs. Cole was formerly employed at North American Rayon Corporation and Great Lakes Research Corporation and retired as a Certified Nurse's Assistant. She was a 1949 graduate of Elizabethton High School and a member of Unaka Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Mike Cole and his fiancée, Tammie Cannon, Elizabethton, and Pat Cole and his wife, Janet Cole, Louisville, Ky.; a brother, David Kelly, Jefferson City; and four grandchildren, Brett Cole and his wife, Rachel Cole, Rebecca Cole, Ben Cole and Hilary Hoomes. Six nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. COLE -- Funeral services for Maxine Kelly Cole, 70, 320 Lewis Cole Loop, Elizabethton, who died Thursday, August 22, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, August 23, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Kenneth Jordan and the Rev. Steve Burleson officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 24, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, will be Richard Lewis, Harry Ford, Mark Schaff, Doug Deloach, Freddy Julian and Dwight Reece. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a son, Mike Cole, 246 Lewis Cole Loop, Elizabethton.
