CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Nola Taylor Cole, 6 Feb 2003 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Nola T. Cole Mrs. Nola Taylor Cole, 81, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Cole was a lifelong resident of Elizabethton and Johnson City. She was a daughter of the late Dave and Addie Estep Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville "Bay" Cole, in 1964; two sisters, Sally Segraves and Evelyn Varano; and seven brothers, Elmer, Jessie, Don, Worley, Selmer, Ernest and Asa Taylor. Mrs. Cole was formerly employed at the Bemberg Corp., and retired from the Veterans Administration in Johnson City. She was of the Baptist faith and formerly attended First Free Will Baptist Church, Elizabethton. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Linda and Fred W. Fisher, Bristol, Va., and Carol "Penny" Cole Woodard, Kingsport; one sister, Ann Maines, Johnson City; three grandchildren, Jenny Fisher Telwar and her husband, A.B. Telwar, Nashville, Kelly Fisher, Bristol, Va., and Jerry Woodard, Kingsport; two great-grandchildren, Kelemet and Mattox Telwar; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Funeral Chapel, 212 N. Main Street, Elizabethton, is in charge of the arrangements. COLE -- Funeral services for Mrs. Nola T. Cole, 81, Johnson City, who passed away Thursday, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday Feb. 9, 2003, in Memorial Funeral Chapel in Elizabethton with the Rev. Phil Poston officiating. Private Family Graveside Services will be at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be Jerry Woodard, Jason Cox, Todd Freeman, and Scott Starnes. She touched the lives of many who remember her generous spirit and her joy for living. Many thanks goes to all her friends in Johnson City and her special neighbors and friends at Woodland Place Apts. Much appreciation for the care and concern goes to the staff of the Johnson City Medical Center. She had a special cat, Kitty.
