CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Elizabeth "Tiny" Cox, 3 Oct 2003 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Elizabeth Cox Elizabeth "Tiny" Cox, 70, West 3rd Avenue, Watauga, died Friday, October 3, 2003, at Select Specialty Hospital, Bristol. Mrs. Cox was a native of Carter County and had lived most of her life there. She was a daughter of the late Crockett L. and Nannie Feathers Carr and was also preceded in death by her husband, George C. Cox, in 1998, and three brothers, Billy Jack Carr, Andrew Carr and Charles Carr. Mrs. Cox was a homemaker and a member of the Watauga Flats Church of God. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Janice Blackburn, Watauga, and Patty and Estel Williams, Piney Flats; two sons and daughters-in-law, Buster and Becky Cox, Kingsport, and Mark and Lisa Cox, Johnson City; two sisters, Evelyn Adams and Brenda Barnes, both of Johnson City; two brothers, Tommy Carr, Jonesborough, and James Carr, Johnson City; six grandsons, Johnny Blackburn, Watauga, Es Williams, Piney Flats, James Cox, Elizabethton, Brian Cox and Wesley Yu, both of Johnson City, and Clint Robinette, Kingsport; four granddaughters, Mallorie Williams and Haley Williams, both of Piney Flats, Pam Carver, Johnson City, and Amber Williams, Kingsport; six great-grandchildren, Brittany, Ashley, Samantha, Kayla, Megan and Bailey; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend and companion, her puppy, Buddy. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, October 6, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel with the Rev. T.R. Gosnell, the Rev. Billy Byrd and the Rev. Estel Williams officiating. The committal service will follow in the Carr Cemetery, Watauga Flats. Active pallbearers will be Jim Adams, Lee Barnes, Ronnie Carr, Ricky Carr, Jerry Carr and Robbie McGuire. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and members of the Watauga Flats Church of God. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 9 p.m. Sunday.
