Crowe 01/13/99 Mrs. Fannie C. Crowe, 92, formerly of Rt. 1, Elizabethton (Horseshoe Community), died Tuesday, January 12, 1999, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton following an extended illness. Mrs. Crowe was a native and lifelong resident of Carter County and the daughter of the late Thomas I. and Sally Pierce Crowe. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. Mrs. Crowe was the first cook at Siam Elementary School and had also worked in several restaurants in the Elizabethton area. She was a member of Siam Baptist Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Wilma Crowe, Kingsport; a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Judy and Dr. Gary Reedy, Clarks Summit, Pa.; and a great-granddaughter, Bailey Reedy, Clarks Summit, Pa. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. CROWE -- Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie C. Crowe, 92, formerly of Rt. 1, Elizabethton (Horseshoe Community), who died Tuesday, will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Rev. Jack Roddy and Rev. Earl Golden officiating. Music will be under the direction of Bill Anderson and Cathy Wilson. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in the VanHuss Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from the men and Deacons of Siam Baptist Church and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jerry Gastineau, Dr. David R. Hardin, Dr. Michael F. Shahbazi, Caregivers of Life Care Center of Elizabethton, the Nursing Staff of Sycamore Shoals Hospital, her many live-in Caretakers over the years and the Horseshoe People. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who prefer may make donations in memory of Mrs. Crowe to the Special Building Project at Siam Baptist Church, 2414 Siam Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643 or to the Cemetery Fund at the Horseshoe Cemetery or the VanHuss Cemetery. The family, friends, ministers and pallbearers will meet at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
