Crutchfield Mrs. Ruth L. Crutchfield, 86, 105 Sunshine Circle, Elizabethton, died Saturday, November 17, 2001, at her residence following a brief illness. Mrs. Crutchfield was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Blaine and Anita Hughes Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William O. Crutchfield, January 25, 1988, and three sisters, Margaret Livingston, Lucye Mullins and Irma Evans. Mrs. Crutchfield was a member of Doe River Baptist Church and had formerly served as church secretary for 25 years. She was a Charter Member of the Hampton Order of Eastern Star, Chapter No. 470. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Russell Becker, Elizabethton; a sister, Goss Pursifull, Middlesboro, Ky.; two grandsons and a granddaughter-in-law, Bill and Gina Becker, Piney Flats, and Gerald Becker, Mazon, Ill.; and a great-grandson, Zachary Mitchell Becker, Piney Flats. Crutchfield, 86, 105 Sunshine Circle, Elizabethton, who died Saturday, November 17, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, November 19, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Greenwell officiating. Music will be under the direction of Larry Adams, soloist, and Mrs. Trilla Little, organist. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, at Livingston Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be John Blaine Livingston, Gerald Livingston, Cleophus Pursifull Jr., Bernie Pursifull, Bob Evans, Michael Livingston, Jeffery Livingston, Jeff Livingston and Adam Pursifull. Honorary pallbearers will be family, her church family, friends and neighbors. The family, friends, minister and pallbearers will meet at the cemetery at 9:55 a.m. Tuesday for the graveside service. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in memory of Mrs. Crutchfield to the Carter County Humane Society, P.O. Box 134, Elizabethton, Tenn. 37643, or to Adventa Hospice, 100 Rogosin Drive, Elizabethton, Tenn. 37643. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
