CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Norma Edith Bradley Culbert, 15 Dec 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Norma Edith Bradley Culbert, 94, Cedar Avenue, Elizabethton, died Monday, December 15, 2003 in the Heritage Care Center. She was born June 10, 1909 in Cole, Tenn. (the Buladean Community of Carter County) to the late John and Jessie Nidiffer Bradley. Mrs. Culbert loved the Lord and her family. She also loved traveling, having visited all of the United States except four. She also traveled to the Holy Land. Mrs. Culbert was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Culbert, in 1967; by two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Fred Campbell, Elizabethton; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Conley Culbert, of Athens, Tenn.; Bobby Gene and Orpha Culbert, of Twinsburg, Ohio, and Kenneth Culbert, of Elizabethton; eight grandchildren, Dennis Culbert, of Mogadore, Ohio; Cindy Culbert Wilson and her husband, John, of Decatur, Tenn.; Terry Campbell and wife, Mary, of Watauga; Robyn Campbell Greene and her husband, Bill, of Lexington, Tenn.; Rhonda Culbert Little and her husband, John, of Fort Wayne, Ind.; Sherie Culbert Bartik and her husband, Dan, of Stow, Ohio; ginger Culbert Holdren and her husband, Tim, of Johnson City, and Brian Culbert and wife, Leslye, of Elizabethton. Eighteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2003 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Hawk and Rev. Bill Greene officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2003 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Robyn Greene, soloist and Pat Presnell, pianist, will provide the music. Active pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff and employees of the Hermitage Care Center, Dr. Jeff Hopland, Dr. Robert Walter, members of the Hunter First Baptist Church, members of the Carter County Rescue Squad and those who serve on "Meals on Wheels". The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. To those who prefer, memorials may be made to the Gideons International, P.O. Box 1951, Elizabethton, TN 37644.
