Davis Dean Louise Davis, 74, 1105 Arney Street, Elizabethton, died Thursday, May 31, 2007, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Mrs. Davis was a native of Carter County. She was a retired employee of the East Tennessee Undergarment Factory and a member of Oak Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Parker Davis, April 7, 2007, and her father, Herman Malone Johnson, June 17, 1985. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Loren "Steve" and Kay Stevens, Bullock, N.C.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mona and Ed Armstrong, Bullock, N.C., and Debra and Paul Williams, Hampton; her mother, Florence Cates Johnson, Elizabethton; two sisters, JoAnn Broyles, Elizabethton, and Jeanette Johnson, Roan Mountain; three grandchildren, Traci Harris, Ginger Gouge and Kelly Church-Hearl; and three great-grandchildren, Kelshan Hensley, Kaileigh Hensley and Xander Harris. Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Hendrich and Mr. Will Andrews officiating. Music will be provided by Lois Carrier, organist. Entombment services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 3, in the Mausoleum of Peace, Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, will be Brett Harris, Jeff Church-Hearl, Harold Church, Ricky Whitehead, Randy Whitehead, Noah Gouge, Clayburn Johnson and Gary Shipley. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence or at the residence of a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Paul Williams, 121 Tilson Avenue, Hampton.
