CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Cleo Morris Dalton, 15 Oct 2004 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Cleo Morris Dalton, 87, Webb Road, Piney Flats, died Friday, October 15, 2004 at the Johnson City Medical Center. A daughter of the late William Henry and Fina Carr Morris, Mrs. Dalton was a native of Carter County and had lived in Piney Flats for 68 years. She was an active member of United Methodist Women and Piney Flats United Methodist Church. Mrs. Dalton was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William T. Dalton; four brothers, Carl, Floyd, Earl and Bruce Morris; and four sisters, Bertha Price, Clara Wilson, Grace Tribble and Monta Perry. Surviving is one daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Herman Harkleroad; one granddaughter and her husband, Christa and Travis Justice; one great- grandson, Dalton Justice; one great-granddaughter, Callee Justice, all of Piney Flats; two sisters and their husbands, Florence and Albert Harrison of Watauga; Joyce and Clifford Vandeventer of Elizabethton; one brother and his wife, Ralph and Lucy Morris of Elizabethton and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Dalton will be held Monday, October 18, 2004 at 8 p.m. in the South Chapel of Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6 to 8 p.m. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. to go in procession to Happy Valley Memorial Park for an 11 a.m. graveside service and burial. Rev. Mack Houston and Rev. Laura Rasor will officiate. Pallbearers will be Beryl Lyon, Otho Anderson, Sam Baird, Clifford Hall, Mike Schmidt, Darrell Chambers, Clarence Perry and Keith Switzer. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Wilhoit, Eugene Hancock, Dr. Allan Colyar, Dr. Ronald Chambers, and Tom Milhorn. For those who wish, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Piney Flats United Methodist Church, 355 Piney Flats Rd., Piney Flats, TN 37686.
