Mrs. Davis was a native of Carter County. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church, where she was involved in all of the church activities prior to her illness. She was attending Pleasant Beach Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation after 47 years of service. Survivors include two sisters and a brother-in-law, Viola Joines and Louise and Howard Jewett, all of Elizabethton, and her nieces and nephews, Keith Massey and his wife, Mary Anne, Mrs. Jeanette Jewett Bailey and her husband, Bill, Mrs. Judy Suber, Mrs. Pat Runion and Mrs. Janice Keller. Memorial Funeral Chapel, Elizabethton, is in charge of arrangements. DAVIS -- Funeral services for Mrs. Frankie Davis, 87, 1960 Milligan Highway, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday, September 4, 2001, were conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, September 6, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bobby Stout officiating. Music was provided by Greg and Tammy Ruston. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, September 7, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Friday, will be Arvin "Toad" Ketchem, Bill Burkhart, Howard Jewett, Keith Massey, Kenneth Jewett and Gordon Lewis. A special "Thank You" to the Staff of Life Care Center of Elizabethton. Friends may call at the residence of her sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Howard Jewett, 1960 Milligan Highway, Elizabethton. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Friday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
