Mrs. Deloach was a native of Johnson County and a daughter of the late Arch and Tish Sluder Lipford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Deloach, in 1973, a daughter, Julie Carr, a son, Herbert Deloach, two grandsons, five brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Deloach had lived most of her life in Carter County. She was a member of the Cobbs Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Ruby Morton, Lula Bell Frazier and Joan Jarrett, all of Elizabethton, and Betty Stevens, Hampton; two sons, Buddy Deloach and Clif Deloach, both of Elizabethton; and one sister, Beulah Kyte, Butler. Sixteen grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, five great-great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. DELOACH -- Funeral services for Mrs. Mae Deloach, 93, 413 Peachtree Lane, Elizabethton, who died Friday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rick Shelton officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of Ruby Morton, Lula Bell Frazier or Joan Jarrett. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Monday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. [Genealogy Note - Mike DeLoach] Arch Lipford was the son of Felix Lipford and Litha Emeline Whaley. He was the grandson of Anthony Lipford and Anny Adkins. William "Bill" Deloach was the son of James and Emiline Deloach. He was the grandson of Phebe Deloach.
