Daniels, Sr. 1/31/00 Roby G. Daniels, Sr., 82, formerly of 117 Williams Avenue, Elizabethton, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Hugh and Luta Carter Daniels. He was preceded in death by his wife, Della Lambert McClain Daniels, July 16, 1986, two brothers: Harry and Sam Daniels; and one sister, Nell Daniels. He was a member of Westside Christian Church and a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation. Mr. Daniels was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include one son, Roby Glen Daniels, Jr., Raleigh, N.C.; one step-son, John W. McClain, Gray; two grandchildren: Kim McClain, Watauga; and Tara McClain, Johnson City; and several nieces and nephews. Daniels, Sr., 82, formerly of 117 Williams Avenue, Elizabethton, who died Thursday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Mr. Jim Curtis, minister, officiating. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and neighbors and members of Westside Christian Church. Military honors will be accorded by Captain Lynn H. Folsolm V.F.W. Post No. 2166. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel.
