CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Blanche D. Nave Dolan, 6 Jun 2004 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Blanche D. Nave Dolan, 80, Gap Creek Road, Elizabethton, died Sunday, June 6, 2004, at Hillview Health Center, following an extended illness. Mrs. Dolan was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Coy and Mamie Hyder Nave. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Coy Nave Jr., and a sister, Pansy Taylor. Mrs. Dolan was of the Christian faith and was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Jack R. Dolan, of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Margaret Dolan, Elizabethton, Jack and Carol Dolan, Dayton, Ohio, and Tony and Tonya Dolan, Kingsport; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Nave, Elizabethton, and Vorita Hodge, Springfield, Ohio; and a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Ferris Nave, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Sherrel Nave officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the funeral service. Friends may also call at the residence, 1042 Gap Creek Road, Elizabethton, anytime. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Sean Dolan, Sherrel Nave, Joe Nave, Eric Dolan, Chris Dolan, Matt Dolan, Steve Sims, James Himes, Brian Cosby and Mack Burchfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Ford and Frank W. Taylor. Those who plan to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
