Dove Betty Jane Perry Dove, 71, 5420 Kalmia Drive, Orlando, Fla., died Tuesday, August 14, 2001, at Johnson City Medical Center due to declining health. Mrs. Perry was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Joseph Lawrence and Celestine Dorthea Shell Perry. Mrs. Dove was a member of Parkway Baptist Church, Orlando, Fla. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Lester J. Dove, of the home; a son, Tommy Dove, Roan Mountain; a daughter, Deanna L. Dove, Orlando, Fla.; three brothers, William Perry, Sarpao, Fla., Thomas L. Perry, Merritt Island, Fla., and Lewis Walker Perry, Oakdale; and two sisters, Lou Smiddy, San Jose, Calif., and Geraldine Rinderer, Oak Ridge. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 18, at Perry Cemetery, Roan Mountain. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Rhododendron Chapel.
