Dugger 05/10/99 Howard O. Dugger, 76, 121 Alvin Dugger Road, Butler, died Saturday, May 8, 1999, at his residence following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late R.M. and Janie Dugger. Mr. Dugger was of the Church of Christ faith and a farmer and former constable. He was a U.S. Army - Air Force veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by one son, Allen Howard Dugger. Survivors include his wife, Celia Church Dugger, of the home; six sons: Harold Dugger, Jerry Dugger, Danny Dugger, Kevin Dugger, all of Butler; Steve Dugger and Charles Dugger, both of Elizabethton; two daughters: Joann Dugger and Irene Dugger, both of the home; two half-brothers: Ted Dugger, Johnson City; and Jay Shell, Indiana. Twelve grandchildren, one great grandson and several nieces and nephews also survive. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. DUGGER -- Funeral services for Howard O. Dugger, 76, 121 Alvin Dugger Road, Butler, who died Saturday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 1999, at Piney Grove Church of Christ, with Mr. Dean Estep, minister, officiating. Music will be under the direction of the Piney Grove Church of Christ Choir. Interment will follow at Piney Grove Church of Christ Cemetery with military honors provided by the Captain Lynn H. Folsom, V.F.W. Post No. 2166. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday evening at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel.
