CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Mary "Peggy" Dugger, 6 Jun 2004 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Mary "Peggy" Dugger, 86, Hillview Health Center, Elizabethton, and formerly of Southside Rd., Elizabethton, died Sunday, June 6, 2004 at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital following an extended illness. A native of Ashe County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Lee & Dora Bare. Mrs. Dugger was a retired manager and cook at the former Southside Elementary School, and was also a homemaker. She was a member of Southside Christian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Dugger (1991); her oldest son, Jack Dugger (1991); and her youngest son, Gary Dugger, (1991); three brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Dugger is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Forrest and Carolyn Dugger, Elizabethton; Ronnie & Harriett Dugger, Elizabethton; 11 grandchildren, Jay Dugger, Jacksonville, Fla.; Catherine Livesay, Rogersville, Tenn.; Forrest Tate Dugger, Greg Dugger, Chad Dugger, Shane Dugger, Lance Dugger and Darlene Dugger Buck, all of Elizabethton; Jan Dugger, Jamie Dugger and Trina Dugger, all of Johnson City; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edith Alteri and Ethel Tiney Rupperd, both of Maryland; several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2004 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Mr. Michael Koruschak, minister, and Rev. Keith Webb officiating. Music will be under the direction of No Name But HIS. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the home of a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Harriett Dugger, 1741 Southside Rd., Elizabethton, at any time. The graveside service and burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from grandsons. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. on Wednesday for the graveside service.
