CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Fannie Jane Cable Dugger, 9 Jun 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Mrs. Fannie Jane Cable Dugger, 87, Central Avenue, Elizabethton, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004 in the Life Care Center of Elizabethton. A native of Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late James P. and Nancy Stout Cable. She had lived in Elizabethton since 1945. Mrs. Dugger was a homemaker. She was a member of the East Side Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas "Judd" Dugger in 1987; and by two sons, Larry J. and Melvin W. Dugger. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard "Jar Fly" and Karen Dugger and Kenneth and Jeanette Dugger, all of Elizabethton; two brothers, Jim Cable, of Hampton and Howard Cable, Elizabethton; two sisters-in-law, Gerell Cable and Virginia Dugger; special brother-in-law, Frank Sam Dugger; four grandsons, Adrian Dugger, Lance Dugger, Aaron Dugger and Chris Brewer; one granddaughter and her husband, Amanda Dugger Collins and Davey Collins; one great-granddaughter, Emilee Dugger; two step-grandchildren, Dustin Powell and David Powell; one step-great-grandson, Andrew Wright; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2004 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dwight Hobbs and Rev. Dale Holcomb officiating. The graveside service and burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2004 in the National Cemetery, Mountain Home. Dale Williams, soloist, and Carol Roberts, organist, will provide the music. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Monday will be Richard Dugger, Ken Dugger, Adrian Dugger, Aaron Dugger, Lance Dugger, Chris Brewer, David Sellers and Davis Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be The Annie Hyder Sunday School Class, East Side Baptist Church; friends and neighbors. Also surviving are her special friends, Sue Harkleroad, Betty Wandell, Irene Andrews, Ruth Franklin, Georgia Bowman, Helen Fetzer and Lillian Bullock. The family would like to express a special "thank you" to the Management and Staff of the Life Care Center and the Carter County Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a son and daughter-in-law, Richard "Jar Fly" and Karen Dugger, 291 Old Charity Hill Rd., Elizabethton. To those who prefer, memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Dugger to the Carter County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 776, Elizabethton, TN 37644.
