CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Charles F. Dunn, 24 Oct 2002 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Charles F. Dunn Charles F. Dunn, 72, 215 Hogum Hollow Road, Roan Mountain, died Thursday, October 24, 2002 at his residence. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late John Hobart and Thelma Roberta Jones Dunn. He was a 1947 graduate of Elizabethton High School and a 1968 graduate of Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Dunn was a retired accountant with Ford Motor Company and had lived in Cleveland from 1951 to 1990. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Spinetti Dunn; two sons, Barry L. Dunn and Charles Marion Dunn, and a sister, Dorothy Dunn Coffman. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Nave Taylor Dunn; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Lonn Safko, of Mantua, Ohio; one son and daughter- in-law, John Dunn, of Mantua, Ohio, and Peggy Dunn, of Hampton; a step-son, O.J. Taylor, Elizabethton; a step-daughter and her husband, Sandra and Bill Budden, of Kenova, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Alieta Constantino, Elena Dunn, Lonna Safko, and Daniel Safko; two great grandchildren, Brianna and Frank Constantino; three step-grandchildren, Katherine (Katy) Budden, and Mallory and Kylee Taylor; and his special friends, Lawrence and Margie Range, and Tim Morgan. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. DUNN -- Funeral services for Charles F. Dunn, 72, 215 Hogum Hollow Road, Roan Mountain, who died Thursday, October 24, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2002 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gale Hartley officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held in the All Saints Cemetery, Northfield, Ohio. Sandra Taylor Budden will provide the music. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Sams, Charles LaPorte, Charles David Coffman, Joe Coffman, Tim Morgan, Charlie Norton, Roy Merryman, and Pat (Red) Bowers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2002 in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Dunn to the Adventa Hospice, 106 Rogosin Drive, Elizabethton, TN 37643, or the Crabtree Free Will Baptist Church, Building Fund, c/o Gene McKinney, 172 McKinney Hollow Road, Roan Mountain, TN 37687.
