June L. Davidson

   June Lafell Davidson, 79, 371 Airport Road, Elizabethton, died 
Saturday, October 13, 2001, at Pine Ridge Care Center following an 
extended illness.
   Mrs. Davidson was a native of Carter County and the daughter of 
the late Blaine and Susan Bowman Heaton. She was also preceded in 
death by her husband, Ernest Davidson, December 8, 1980, a son, Marvin 
Davidson, April 6, 2001, and by six brothers and two sisters.
   Mrs. Davidson was a retired nurses assistant at the Carter County 
Memorial Hospital and a member of Fellowship Community Church, Watauga.
   Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda F. and 
John Foster and Joan E. and Larry Dean Kiser, all of Elizabethton, 
and Barbara and Wayne Dugger, Powell; a son and daughter-in-law, 
Marion L. and Virginia Davidson, Watauga; 13 grandchildren; 11 
great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five step-great-
grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Lou and Cecil Davidson, 
Elizabethton; and a brother and sister-in-law, J.B. and Ann Heaton, 
Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

   DAVIDSON -- Funeral services for June Lafell Davidson, 79, 371 
Airport Road, Elizabethton, who died Saturday, October 13, 2001, 
will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, October 15, at Tetrick Funeral 
Home, Chapel of Peace, with the Rev. Ken Hauser officiating. Music 
will be under the direction of Ethel Davidson and Rick Sweeney. 
Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, 
October 16, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will 
be selected from the men of Fellowship Community Church. Honorary 
pallbearers will be Denton Lyons, grandsons, and special thanks to 
Dr. Joe May, Dr. Steven May, and the staff of Pine Ridge Care Center. 
Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday to go 
in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 
5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at 
the residence of a daughter, Joan E. Kiser, Elizabethton, at any 
time. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations 
to the American Cancer Society, c/o Helen Wilson, 209 S. Riverside
