Marion L. Davidson 

Marion Lynn Davidson, age 60, Bristol Highway, Watauga, died 
Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a brief 
illness. 
A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Earnest C. and 
June Lafell Heaton Davidson. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. 
Mr. Davidson was a Correctional Officer for the State of Tennessee, 
Department of Corrections. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in 
Vietnam and Korea. He was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Davidson. 
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Cornett Manz Davidson, of the home; 
one daughter, Susan Richardson, Elizabethton; two sons, Kenneth Davidson, 
Tony Davidson, both of Elizabethton; two step-sons, Nicholas Manz, 
Elizabethton; Steven Manz, Oliver Springs, Tenn.; three sisters, Brenda 
Foster, Joan Kiser, both of Elizabethton; Barbara Dugger, of Powell, Tenn.; 
four grandchildren, and five step-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews 
also survive. 

The funeral service for Marion L. Davidson will be conducted at 8 p.m. 
Thursday, August 7, 2003 at Tetrick Funeral Home Riverside Chapel with 
Rev. Gene Cornett and Rev. Walker Roberson officiating. Music will be 
under the direction of Ethel Davidson. The graveside service and interment 
will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2003 at Happy Valley Memorial 
Park. Military honors to be accorded by Capt. Lynn H. Folsom V.F.W. Post 
#2166. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Cornett, Nicholas Manz, Steven 
Manz, Andrew Manz, Doug Bradley and Larry Kiser. Those who plan to attend 
the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:55 a.m. on 
Friday. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 
7 at Tetrick Funeral Home Riverside Chapel or friends may call at the
