Davenport Ossie Deloach Davenport, 88, 122 Old Charity Hill Road, Elizabethton, died Thursday, September 13, 2001, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Davenport was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Bob and Minnie Helton Deloach. She was also preceded in death by a son, Harold Davenport; two daughters, Margie Davenport Coleman and Alice Yvonne Davenport; two brothers, Emmett Deloach and Robert Deloach; a half brother, Frank Deloach; two half sisters, Eva Helton and Ethel Troxell; and a great-granddaughter, Mandrea Ruth Hicks. Mrs. Davenport was a member of East Side Free Will Baptist Church. She was a former Certified Nursing Assistant with Hermitage Health Care Center, Elizabethton, and a part-time antique dealer. Survivors include her husband of 73 years, W.E. "Frank" Davenport, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Glen and Tina Davenport, Erwin, and Bobby and Phyllis Davenport, Elizabethton; and a son-in-law, Edgar Coleman, Elizabethton. Eleven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Visit our Web site at www.Funeral-Plans.com/Tetrick DAVENPORT -- Funeral services for Ossie Deloach Davenport, 88, 122 Old Charity Hill Road, Elizabethton, who died Thursday, September 13, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, September 15, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, with the Rev. D.C. Byrd and the Rev. Doug Ranshaw officiating. Music will be under the direction of Darren Shepard. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 16, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Richard Davenport, Stephen Davenport, Frankie Coleman, Keith Davenport, Chris Roberson, Jeremy Davenport and Eric Poche. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jonathan Bremer, Ed Bailey, Chester Davenport, David Hall, Eddie Coleman, Gary Thomas, Andrew Shell, Homer Sims and Charlie Powell. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
