Frank Dyer

   Frank Dyer, 89, 283 Cove Creek Rd., Roan Mountain, died Saturday, 
Dec. 1, 2002, at the Johnson City Medical Center following an extended 
illness.
   A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Ebb and Betty 
Hughes Dyer.
   He was a member of Cove Creek Presbyterian Church and a retired employee 
of Roan Mountain State Park.
   Survivors include his wife, Hazel Barnett Dyer, of the home, two 
daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Willie Eugene Hinson, Elizabethton, 
and Pam and Jerry Love, Gray, four sons and daughters-in-law, Stuart and 
Norma Jean Dyer, Elizabethton, Steve and Vicky Dyer, Shirl and Wilma Dyer, 
Roan Mountain, Mike and Janet Dyer, Elizabethton, 12 grandchildren, 15 
great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

   DYER -- Funeral services for Frank Dyer, 89, 283 Cove Creek Rd., Roan 
Mountain, who died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. 
Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Rhododendron Chapel, with 
the Revs. Tull Oaks and Richard Blevins officiating. The graveside service 
and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at 
Dyer Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Kevin Gray, Kelly Gray, Terry 
Dyer, Tim Dyer, Johnny Dyer, Brian Dyer, Kenny Hinson and Eugene Gouge. 
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Dean McLaughlin, Dr. Rick McDavid, Judge 
Robert Cupp and Jay Roberts. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. 
Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, for the graveside service. The family will receive 
friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Tetrick Funeral Home, 
Rhododendron Chapel, or at the residence, 283 Cove Creek Rd., Roan Mountain, 
any time. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations 
in memory of Mr. Dyer to a favorite charity. Condolences may be sent to
