John B. Edens III 





    GILBERT, S.C. -- John Burley "Buddy" Edens III, 70, died Sunday, December 

24, 2006. 





    A native of Elizabethton, Tenn., he was a son of the late Mildred 

Greathouse and John Burley Edens Jr. 





    Mr. Edens was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church and was a retired 

school administrator. 





    Survivors include his wife, Helen S. Edens; a son, John H. Edens of 

Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a daughter, Elizabeth Cline of Layton, Utah; three 

sisters, Pat Lewis of Florida, Kathy Cox of Elizabethton, Tenn., and Brenda 

Morrell of Nashville, Tenn.; and grandchildren, Daniel, Alaina, Alex and Emily 

Edens. 





    Services for Mr. Edens were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 

at Beulah United Methodist Church with the Rev. Patricia Parrish officiating. 

Interment will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 28, at Happy Valley Memorial 

Park in Elizabethton, Tenn. Memorials may be made to Beulah United Methodist 

Church, 161 Beulah Church Road, Gilbert, SC 29054. Online condolences may be
