Elliott Henry E. Elliott, 86, 3336 Gap Creek Road, Hampton, died Saturday, January 6, 2007, at the residence of his daughter, Sandra Kay Stevens. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Jessee D. and Rebecca Ellis Elliott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Davis Elliott, November 5, 1979. Mr. Elliott was a retired employee of the Elizabethton Police Department, having retired as a Captain. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. Mr. Elliott was a member of Dashiel Masonic Lodge No. 238 and the Jericho Temple. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Elizabethton. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Tony Edward and Sue Elliott and Danny Ray and Linda Sue Elliott, all of Elizabethton; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Kay and Bobbie Stevens of Hampton; a grandson, Bobby C. Stevens of Hampton; a granddaughter, Stephanie Page Elliott of Elizabethton; a great-granddaughter, Amber Johnson; and a dear friend, Helen Ostrowski. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Elliott will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, January 8, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jonas Revis officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 9, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from members of the Elizabethton Police Department. Honorary pallbearers will be present and past members of the Elizabethton Police Department and present and past members of the Carter County Sheriff's Department. Military Honors will be provided by the V.F.W. Post No. 2166 and the Tennessee National Guard. The family would like to express a special "thank you" to Adventa Hospice for all of their care and concern during the illness of Mr. Elliott. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Kay and Bobbie Stevens, 3336 Gap Creek Road, Hampton.
