Ruth Elliott 





    Ruth Elliott, 72, of Watauga, died Sunday, December 31, 2006, at Johnson 

City Medical Center. 





    A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Grimes 

and Myrtle Campbell. 





    Mrs. Elliott was a former employee of Amerace and Alamite. She attended 

New Hope Christian Church. 





    In addition to her parents, Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by her 

husband, Robert Conley Elliott, in 2006, a granddaughter, Michelle Williams, 

in 2006, and by five brothers and five sisters. 





    Survivors include two sons, Conley Michael Elliott and Clay Elliott; a 

special cousin, Tonia Kimber; a brother, Bob Campbell; and a sister, Barbara 

Sams. Two great-grandchildren also survive. 





    A memorial service for Mrs. Elliott will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 

14, in the Mausoleum Chapel at Washington County Memory Gardens with Paul 

Peer, minister, officiating. Inurnment will follow. In lieu of flowers, 

memorials may be made to Relay for Life, c/o New Victory Baptist Church, 527 

Conklin Road, Jonesborough, TN 37659. 





    Appalachian Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, 

Johnson City, is serving the Elliott family.
