Estep Margie Myers Estep, 84, of 502 Bryant Avenue, Elizabethton, died on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, in the Johnson City Medical Center, following an extended illness. Mrs. Estep was a native of Carter County, and was the daughter of the late H.D. "Lane" and Bertie Peters Elliott. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Estep was preceded in death by her first husband, Stanley G. Myers, her second husband, Mack Estep, and her sister, Helen White. Mrs. Estep was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Elizabethton. She loved gospel music, country music, gardening and cooking. She was the owner of Margie's Ladies and Children's Shop and was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Elizabethton. She was also a graduate of Steed Business College. Mrs. Estep is survived by her sisters, Peggy Peters of Elizabethton; Charlotte and her husband, Ray Plummer, of High Point, N.C.; her step- children, George and Erma Myers, of Johnson City, Norman and Deborah Estep of Roanoke, Va., and Susan and Ken Fienthiel of Cincinnati, Ohio; her grandchildren, Lynn and wife Rita Myers, Glenn and wife Vicki Myers; Dr. James and wife Donna Myers; Garrett and wife Stephanie Estep, and Brooke Estep; two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and her special friends, Wanda Bowers and Rissie Godsey. The graveside service and interment for Mrs. Estep will be conducted on Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Happy Valley Memorial Park, with the Rev. Brent Seals officiating. Friends may call at the Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, between the hours of 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21, and from 8 a.m. to noon on Friday, Dec. 22, 2006. Those wishing to attend the graveside service should meet at the funeral home on Friday, at 1:15 p.m. to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jim, Lynn, Glenn, and Chris Myers; and Ray Lewis and James Paul Wood. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering C/O First Baptist Church, 212 East "F" Street, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
