Estep Mrs. Frances Stout Estep of Elizabethton made her much anticipated departure to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 1, 2008, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Her beloved husband and daughters were by her side to walk her home. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Milton and Sara Ledford Stout. Frances was a member of the Roan Street Church of God but attended Blue Springs Christian Church. Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Floyd Estep; two wonderful daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Michael Edwards of Lexington, S.C., and Tammy and Steve Pierce of Elizabethton; four loved grandchildren, Christopher Edwards and wife Kelly and Melanie Harmon and husband Rev. John Harmon, all of Lexington, S.C., Daniel Burchett of Knoxville, Tenn., and Stephanie Pierce of Elizabethton; one darling great-granddaughter, Caroline Grace Edwards of Lexington, S.C.; and a niece, Jammie Bost of Salisbury, N.C. Graveside services for Mrs. Estep will be conducted at 12 noon Tuesday, March 4, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with her grandson-in-law, Rev. John Harmon, officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, will be Richard Caldwell, Ricky Melton, Rusty Melton, Norman Edwards, Bill Hamilton, Bill Mosley, William Bill Turner and Albert Darty Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. David Fenner, Terry Miller, Carl Estep, S.M. Estep Jr., Charles Treadway, Gene Estep, Dean Estep, Wayne Estep, Glen Estep, Millard Fitzsimmons, Bobby Polly, friends and neighbors. The family would like to express a very special "thank you" to Dr. David Fenner, Dr. Ray Lamb, Dr. Janet Drake, Dr. Stephen Frye, Dr. Jeff Farrow and the Hospice Staff. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday to go to the cemetery.
