Ms. Estes was a native of Elizabethton and had lived her life there. She was the daughter of Sarah Ann Hall. Ms. Estes was a member of Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church and was a homemaker during her lifetime. In addition to her parents, Ms. Estes was preceded in death by her brother, Harry Hall, and a great-granddaughter, Laura J. Pashenee. Survivors include a son, Clyde H. Lewis, and daughter-in-law Margie E. Lewis of Stoney Creek; two step-sons and spouse, John and Mary Lewis, 103 Lewis/Cole Road, Elizabethton, and Richard Lewis, 119 Lewis/Cole Road, Elizabethton; four brothers, Jeff Taylor, Stoney Creek, Grant Hall, Elizabethton, Theodore and Alfred Hall, both of Corning, Calif.; and a sister, Virginia Hardin, Stoney Creek. Additionally, Ms. Estes is survived by three granddaughters, Joyce Loessberg and Virginia Blevins, Elizabethton, and Paulette Hollway, Sacramento, Calif.; a step-granddaughter, Barbara Shaw, Stoney Creek; six grandchildren, Jimmy, Robin, Jason, Robert, Shannon and Donnie; five great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Special friends who survive include Irene and Dallas Carrier, Don and Margaret Davis, Wayco and Scott Davis and Ruth Taylor, sister-in-law. A special thanks is extended to all the staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home for the kind and special care that they gave to Ms. Estes during her stay there. The funeral service for Ms. Estes will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, September 29, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Birchfield and Pastor Brett Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service in the chapel. Friends may also call at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, 103 Forest Crest Lane, Elizabethton. The graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 30, in the Richardson Cemetery, Stoney Creek Community. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family members and friends, Roger Shaw, Wayco Davis, Dallas Carrier, Cameron Loessberg, Calvin Campbell and Ronnie Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Richardson, Floyd Richardson, Jack Collins and friends and neighbors. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Carter County Emergency and Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 682, Elizabethton, TN 37644 or to the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Department, 114 Herbert Taylor Lane, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
