CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Doris Edens, 23 Jan 2004

Miss Doris Edens, age 77, Campbell Road, Jonesborough, 
formerly of G Street, Elizabethton died Friday, Jan. 
23, 2004, at Lakebridge Health Care Center, Johnson City, following 
a brief illness. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter 
of the late Frank and Rhoda Sims Edens. She was a member of Hopwood 
Christian Church. Miss Edens was a sales clerk at the Charles Store, 
Johnson City. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Edens, 
and one sister, Frances Hyder. 
Survivors include a special niece and spouse, Sharon and Kenneth 
Campbell, Jonesborough; one great-nephew and spouse, Jeff and Ceilya 
Campbell, Gray; and several special cousins. 
The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 
2004, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Kenn Hecht 
officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and 
friends. Those who plan to attend the graveside service are asked 
to meet at the funeral home at 1:15 p.m., Monday to go in procession 
to the cemetery. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may 
make donations in memory of Miss Edens to, Heritage Baptist Church, 
Building Fund, 1512 John Exum Parkway, Johnson City, TN 37601. Friends 
may call at the residence of a niece, Sharon Campbell, 181 Campbell 
Road, Jonesborough, any time. Online condolences may be sent to the
