Edwards Evelyn V. Edwards, 73, 505 Race Street, Elizabethton, died Monday, December 10, 2001, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Edwards was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Charles Frank and Nancy Estep Crowe. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene Crowe, T.I. Crowe and Conley Crowe, and two sisters, Estelee Carden and Doris Hyder. Mrs. Edwards was a member of Siam Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Ted Edwards, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Phil Campbell and Kathy and Danny Young, all of Elizabethton; and two sons and a daughter-in-law, John and Phyllis Edwards, Elizabethton, and Charles Edwards, of the home. Edwards, 73, 505 Race Street, Elizabethton, who has gone home to see her mom and dad and family, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2001, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, with the Rev. Jack Roddy officiating. Music will be under the direction of Bill Anderson, soloist. The committal and entombment service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 13, at the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Walter, Dr. Todd Whittaker, Dr. Ray Lamb and the nurses and staff of Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 9:55 a.m. Thursday for the committal and entombment service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
