CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Pauline Taylor Edwards, 8 Jul 2002 ----¤¤¤---- Pauline T. Edwards Mrs. Pauline Taylor Edwards, 75, 1208 Broad Street, Elizabethton, died Monday, July 8, 2002, at Johnson City Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Edwards was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late William W. and Flora Smith Taylor. She was also preceded in death by a brother, William W. Taylor, and a sister, Helen Louise Taylor. Mrs. Edwards was a retired employee of General Motors, Motor Division, with 32 years of service. She was a charter member of Marine Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio. Survivors include her husband, William Edwards Jr., of the home; six sisters and two brothers-in-law, Evelyn L. Taylor and Betty and Bill Roten, all of Elizabethton, Margaret Carver, Hampton, Mildred and Bill Carriger and Edna Archer, all of Johnson City, and Mary Baker, Dayton, Ohio; and three sisters-in-law, Mable Honeycutt, Elizabethton, Sue Hart and her husband, Garland, Knoxville, and Sylvia Hopkins, West Jefferson, N.C. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Music will be by Minister Gerald and Gloria Holly. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, July 12, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Stephen May, Dr. Ronald McGowan, Dr. Christopher Sholes and Dr. Daniel McCoy. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Friends may also call at the residence, 1208 Broad Street, Elizabethton, at any time. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Friday for the graveside service.
