Beatrice "Bea" Engle, 71, Franklin Place, Elizabethton, died Friday, 
November 26, 2004, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton.

Ms. Engle was the daughter of the late Johnny and Dora Hurley Dugger. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, 
Rodney, Troy and Danny Garland, and a sister, Flora Oliver.

Ms. Engle was a homemaker. She attended East Side Free Will Baptist 
Church.

Survivors include a son, Jonathan Cole, Gray; three sisters, Evadean 
Markland, Elizabethton, Pearl Edwards, Johnson City, and Cleta Richardson, 
Hudson, N.C.; and a brother, Chalmers Dugger, Elizabethton. Several 
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a special niece, 
Sharon Estep, also survive.

Graveside services were conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, November 28, in 
the Garland Cemetery with Rev. T.R. Gosnell and Rev. David Shelton 
officiating. Pallbearers were Keith Edwards, Tony Edwards, Jay Vance, 
Lester Dugger, Jerry Dugger and Tim Edwards. The family received friends 
from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the 
residence of a sister, Evadean Markland, 1718 West G Street, Apt. 7, 
Elizabethton, at any time.
Memorial Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
