CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Lola Beatrice Davis Ensor, 5 Feb 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Mrs. Lola Beatrice Davis Ensor, 91, Perry St., Elizabethton, died Thursday, February 5, 2004 in the Hillview Health Center. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Rubin and Cora Alice Conley Davis. She was a graduate of Unaka High School. Mrs. Ensor was a homemaker. She was a member of the Biltmore Baptist Church and a former member of Dungan Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Ensor, August 21, 1982; by three brothers, Lonnie, Chalres and Bill Davis and three sisters, Mamie Davis, Maggie Davis and Leida Nidiffer. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Cora Sue and Bill Pike, Elizabethton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Cathy Ensor, Bristol, and Jimmy and Janet Ensor, Elizabethton; one brother, Ralph Davis, Johnson City; five sisters, Lucille Bales, Bernice Davis, Hildred Davis, Jean Carpenter and Ruby Hughes, all of Elizabethton; five grandchildren, Jimmy Ensor, Amy Miller, Brandon Pike, Amanda Pike and Emily Ensor; five great grandchildren, Danielle Miller, Carolyne Miller, Zeke Miller, Kelsie Ensor and Davis Ensor. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2004 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Kenneth Jordan and Rev. Rocky Maines officiating. Graveside services and burial will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2004 in the Ensor Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. Sunday will be Brandon Pike, Jimmy Ensor, Jason Miller, Willie Church, Paul Bales, David Hughes, Larry Hughes and Steve Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews as well as Johnny MIlls, Glen Davis, Frank Gentry and Danny Akers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Janet Ensor, 451 Sycamore Shoals Dr. or the residence of a daughter and son-in-law, Cora Sue and Bill Pike, 809 Quail Ridge Court, Elizabethton.
