Estep Tipton C. Estep, 85, formerly of Elizabethton, died Thursday, January 25, 2001, in Cocoa, Fla. Mr. Estep was a son of the late Crit and Eliza Estep. He graduated from UT-Knoxville, and served as a teacher, guidance counselor, principal, superintendent of schools of Carter County, and a college professor. He retired with 42 years of service in Tennessee and Florida. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Louise, Cocoa, Fla.; a son, Glen, Knoxville; a daughter, Becky, Huntsville; two grandchildren, Brian and Todd; and two great-grandchildren, Brian Keith Jr. and Brianna. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m., followed by services at Smith Funeral Home in Rutledge, Tenn. Interment will be in the Sunrise Cemetery on Sunday at 1 p.m. Smith Funeral Home, Rutledge, Tenn., (865) 828-8260, is in charge of arrangements.
