Estep Mrs. Hattie I. Estep, 81, 157 Estep Road, Hampton, died Monday, December 31, 2001, at her residence. Mrs. Estep was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Oscar and Josephine Barnett Crowe. She was also preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Mrs. Estep was a homemaker and a member of Dennis Cove Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Hasford R. Estep; a daughter, Frances K. Bennett, Johnson City; four sons, Larry Estep, Hampton, Terry Estep, Jarvis Estep and Stephen Estep, all of Elizabethton; and a sister, Mrs. Mamie Davenport, Johnson City. Twenty grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. ESTEP -- The visitation for Mrs. Hattie I. Estep, 81, 157 Estep Road, Hampton, who died Monday, December 31, 2001, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2002, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. It was her wish to be cremated.
