CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Samuel Mitchell Estep, 20 Dec 1989

The following obituary appeared in the Dec. 21, 1989 edition of the
Elizabethton Star.

Samuel Mitchell Estep, 90 Rt. 1 Charity Hill Rd, Elizabethton, died Wednesday,
December 20, 1989, in Sycamore Shoals Hospital after a brief illness.  A
native of Carter County, he was a son of the late I.J. and Rebecca Archer
Estep.  Mr. Estep was a retired employee of Beaunit Fibers and a member of
Roan Street Church of God.  He was preceeded in death by his wife, Mrs. Nannie
Carden Estep in 1982.  Survivors include one daughter, Mrs Charles (Novella)
Treadway, Bluefield Ave., Elizabethton; four sons Carl Estep, Bluefield Ave.,
Elizabethton; Roy Estep, Rt. 8 Elizabethton, S.M. Estep, Jr. DeJarnette Street
Elizabethton; and Floyd Estep, Roan Street Elizabethton and one Sister, Mrs.
Mamie Fortner Bristol Nursing Home, Bristol Va.  Nine grandchildren and 12
great grandchildren also survive.  Burial in Happy Valley Memorial Park.
