Fair Helen Juanita Nave Fair, 83, 129 Sunrise Drive, Elizabethton, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Ora Gay and Sarah Elizabeth "Sallie" Buckles Nave. Mrs. Fair was a retired employee of the American Bemberg Corporation, having worked there for 35 years. She was a member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Fair Jr. "June," in 1978; a son, Shelby Ray Fair, in 1990; a sister, Ailene Nave; and three brothers, Ray, Snyder and Arthur Nave. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Keith Berry, Elizabethton; three grandsons, Davey Collins, Dustin Collins and Travis Fair and his wife Christy; two great-granddaughters, Haley and Jacey Fair; two sisters, Ruth Wilson, Elizabethton, and Phyllis Gouge, Johnson City; a sister- in-law, Gladys Nave; several nieces and nephews; and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Fair. Graveside services and interment for Mrs. Fair will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 14, in the Caldwell Springs Cemetery with Mr. Dale Ward officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special "thank you" to the staff and employees of the Third Floor of Sycamore Shoals Hospital and Ivy Hall Nursing Home who made her last days enjoyable. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Keith Dugger.
