Catherine Fulton 





    Mrs. Catherine Fulton, 92, 132 Cunningham Street, Elizabethton, went home 

to be with her Lord, on Monday, August 20, 2007, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital 

following a brief illness. 





    A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late George 

Tennessee and Mary Hart. 





    Mrs. Fulton was retired from North American Rayon Corporation and was of 

the Baptist faith. She loved to work in her flowers and she loved birds. 





    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, 

Frank "Buddy" Fulton, a brother and a sister. 





    Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Margaret and David 

Henderson of Johnson City and Jena Booker of Elizabethton; a grandson and his 

wife, Donnie and Rebecca White of Elizabethton; two great-grandsons, Philip 

White and Andrew White, both of Elizabethton; and a special friend, Irene 

Roberson of Elizabethton. 





    The funeral service for Mrs. Fulton will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, 

August 23, at the Lighthouse for Jesus Church, 2680 Highway 19E, Elizabethton, 

with the Rev. Bill Younce officiating. The family will receive friends at the 

church from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service. The graveside service 

and interment will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, August 24, in the George 

Mottern Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. 

Honorary pallbearers will be friends and neighbors. Those wishing to attend 

are asked to meet at the church at 9:15 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the 

cemetery. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to 

the Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Shelter, 253 Sycamore Shoals Road, 

Elizabethton, TN 37643. Condolences may be sent to the family by signing the
