CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Rassie E. Fagan, 8 Jul 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Mrs. Rassie E. Fagan, 87, Bristol Highway, Elizabethton, died Thursday, July 8, 2004, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mrs. Fagan was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Butler and Bessie Carr Perry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Fagan, January 19, 2003, and three sisters, Irene Corvin, Imogene Winters and Revalee Henson. Mrs. Fagan was a member of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Fagan and Barbara Carr, both of Bluff City; three grandchildren, Brian Grindstaff and Tracie Waters, both of Elizabethton, and Eric Fagan, Bluff City; a special nephew, Mike Winters, Elizabethton; and two brothers, Orville Harvey, Elizabethton, and Frank Perry, Bluff City. Several other nephews and nieces also survive. Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 11, in the New Bethel Cemetery, Piney Flats, with the Rev. Bobby Stout officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Friends may call at the residence of her daughters, Brenda Fagan and Barbara Carr, 910 Old Elizabethton Highway, Bluff City, at any time.
