Fletcher Mrs. Flossie Asher Fletcher, 84, 1801 Highway 91, Elizabethton, died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Fletcher was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Roy and Alaska Hodge Asher. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Fletcher, in 1982, two brothers, Howard Asher and Luther Asher, and three sisters, Juanita Richardson, Unis Lingerfelt and Lola Bee Rogers. Mrs. Fletcher was a Charter Member of the Unaka Baptist Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Joe and Sue Fletcher, Elizabethton; a daughter, Patricia Harley, Rockville, Md.; three sisters, Clematis Harrell and Beulah Honeycutt, both of Elizabethton, and Detlas Beam, Winston-Salem, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Kim Harley and Eric Fletcher. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. FLETCHER -- Graveside services for Mrs. Flossie Asher Fletcher, 84, 1801 Highway 91, Elizabethton, who died Sunday, April 15, 2001, will be conducted at 12 noon Wednesday, April 18, in the Taylor Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Wheeler and the Rev. Walker Roberson officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, will be Ricky Johnson, Keith Johnson, A.D. "Sonny" Fletcher, Glen Asher, Randy Lingerfelt and Wayne Ritchie. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Lewis, Nathaniel McCloud, Leonard Campbell, Rondal Oliver and Ivan Morley. Also her special friends: Fred and Mellie Smith, Bill and Linda Sue Johnson and her Sunday School Class of Unaka Baptist Church. Friends may call at the funeral home any time Tuesday or Wednesday morning. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
