Roan St., Elizabethton, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at her residence following a brief illness. A Carter County native, she was the daughter of the late Mark and Callie Manning Fletcher. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Lawson Fletcher, John Razor Fletcher, three sisters, Mary Nell Buckles, Jean Fletcher Pierce and Ona Rada Fletcher. She was a member of First Christian Church, where she was a member of the WinSome Sunday School Class. She was a former employee of Larkin Bakery. Survivors include one sister, Janie Elizabeth Hughes, Johnson City, eight nephews, Jack Harvey Hughes, Jonesborough, Mark Fletcher Pierce, Knoxville, Robert Steve Buckles, Elizabethton, Charlie John Hughes, Johnson City, Jack Roland Hughes, Jonesborough, Scott C. Pierce, Nashville, Benjamin C. Pierce, Knoxville, Jack Hunter Hughes, Jonesborough, two nieces, Hannah Renee Buckles, Kayla Nicole Buckles, both of Elizabethton. Roan St., Elizabethton, who died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Dr. Don Marshall, minister, officiating. Active pallbearers will be nephews, Jack Harvey Hughes, Mark Fletcher Pierce, Robert Steve Buckles, Charlie John Hughes, Jack Roland Hughes, Scott C. Pierce and Benjamin C. Pierce. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of First Christian Church and Jack Hughes. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 1:55 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, for the graveside service.
