Obituary appeared in the Monday, April 11, 1949 Elizabethton Star

L.W. Fletcher died in a Marion Va., hospital toady.  Mr. Fletcher was a native
of Carter County.  Has made his home in Applachia Va. For a number of years,
and was a member of the Baptist Church.  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary
Fletcher, one son, P.D. Fletcher of Appalachia, VA.; one brother, Andy
Fletcher of Elizabethton; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Nave of Elizabethton, Mrs.
Dave Hicks of Bristol; on grandchild.  Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
Roy Hathaway Funeral Home is in charge.
