Ferguson 01/15/99 Ollie J. Carver Ferguson, 85, of Kingsport, died Wednesday, January 13, 1999, in SunRise at Hillside after an extended illness. Mrs. Ferguson was a native of Carter County and had resided in Kingsport most of her life. She was a daughter of the late George and Mary Hyder Carver and was also preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Ferguson Sr.; three infant children; two grandsons; a granddaughter; two step-sons; a step- daughter; a sister, Liddie Morton; and two brothers, Dave and John Carver. Mrs. Ferguson was a homemaker and attended Pactolus Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Margie and Odell Robinson and Leota and Robert Laws, all of Kingsport, and Sue and Wayne Snider, Denton, N.C.; six sons and five daughters-in-law, Gene and Margaret Ferguson, Surgoinsville, Leonard and Bevelene Ferguson and Earl and Bettye Ferguson, all of Kingsport, Jackie and Carol Ferguson, Thomasville, N.C., Roy Ferguson, Fall Branch, and Kenneth and Linda Ferguson, Greensboro, N.C.; a step-daughter, Glendola Charlton, Fall Branch; 25 grandchildren; 30 great- grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Pearl Heaton, Roan Mountain; and several nieces and nephews. Carver Ferguson, 85, of Kingsport, who died Wednesday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday from the Fall Branch Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Gibson, Rev. Bob Fletcher and Rev. George Winegar officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch Chapel. Friends may also call at the residence of a daughter, 125 Copas Road. Memorial contributions may be made to the Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2783 Rock Springs Road, Kingsport, TN 37664.
