Fitzsimmons Mrs. Mary Mae Fitzsimmons, 82, 150 Fitzsimmons Hill Road, Elizabethton, died Saturday, January 13, 2001, at Pine Ridge Care Center. Mrs. Fitzsimmons was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Jack and Cora Elizabeth Burchett Bristol. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Fitzsimmons Sr., a son, John Paul Isaacs, and by a brother and five sisters. Mrs. Fitzsimmons was a member of the North Side Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Nora Lee and Allen D. Renfro, Dothan, Ala., and Debra Jane and Mark Stapel, Knoxville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Marilyn Isaacs and Frank L. Fitzsimmons Jr. and Jodie Fitzsimmons, all of Elizabethton; a sister, Doll Goodman, Longview, Wash.; a brother, William Bristol, Sun City, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, Allen Paul Renfro, Jill Renfro, Courtney Stapel, Katie Jo Fitzsimmons, Cory Wade Fitzsimmons, John Robert Isaacs and Kellie P. Gwaltney and her husband, Bodie Gwaltney; and a great-granddaughter, Anastasia Sue Gwaltney. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. FITZSIMMONS -- Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Mae Fitzsimmons, 82, 150 Fitzsimmons Hill Road, Elizabethton, who died Saturday, January 13, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, January 15, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Burl Garland officiating. The Rev. Ed Wheeler will provide the music. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Dr. Steven Meyerhoff officiating. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, will be John Robert Isaacs, Allen Paul Renfro, Larry Bristol, Jim Gouge, Earl Slagle, Keith Holtsclaw, Lewis Miller, Mike White and Joel Honeycutt. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
