Anna C. Greenwell 





    Mrs. Anna C. Greenwell, 76, 191 Old Charity Hill Road, Elizabethton, 

passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2007, at her residence following an extended 

illness. 





    Mrs. Greenwell was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late 

Ulysses Edward and Vici Ann Baird Mann. 





    Mrs. Greenwell was a member of East Fairview Freewill Baptist Church and 

was a homemaker. 





    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, 

Howard "Speck" Greenwell, and her brothers, Carroll "Moose" Mann and Harold 

Lee Mann. 





    Survivors include four daughters and a son-in-law, Carolyn Oliver Bradley, 

Janice Treadway and Jennifer Calloway, all of Elizabethton, and Teresa and 

Charles Kyle of Palm Coast, Fla.; six sons and three daughters-in-law, Wayne 

and Annie Greenwell of Salem, Ore., Jimmy and Cora Greenwell, Joseph 

Greenwell, William Greenwell, Ricky and Melinda Greenwell and Steven 

Greenwell, all of Elizabethton; numerous grandchildren, numerous great-

grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Mann and Earnest Mann, both of Elizabethton; 

and four sisters, Bonnie Williams, Della Bowers, Flora Turner and Wanda Lane, 

all of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. 





    The funeral service for Mrs. Greenwell will be conducted at 2 p.m. 

Thursday, July 5, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, 

Elizabethton, with Rev. Charlie Trivette officiating. The graveside service 

and interment will follow at Deloach Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be 

Aaron Bailey, Curtis Hyder, Randy Lewis Jr., Tim Williams, Dennis Williams, 

Eddie Baird and Blane Hyder, alternate. The family will receive friends in the 

funeral home chapel from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday. Those who prefer 

memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the charity of their
