Sudie K. Guinn 





    Sudie Kate Dugger Guinn, 86, died Monday, December 24, 2007, at Life Care 

Center of Elizabethton. 





    Mrs. Guinn formerly lived in the Fairview Community of Hampton and more 

recently had resided at Franklin Place. 





    A native and lifelong resident of Carter County, she was the daughter of 

the late James F. and Ida Glover Dugger. 





    Mrs. Guinn worked a number of years at the American Bemberg Plant and 

after that at the Southern Restaurant. She was a member of Fairview Free Will 

Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and in years past baked cookies for her 

nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed reading the daily newspaper as well as 

magazines and periodicals. 





    Mrs. Guinn was preceded in death by her husbands, Roscoe Clark and 

Brownlow Guinn, and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Clark and Mrs. Loretta Hardin. 





    She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Emma Hill, Taylorsville, N.C., and a 

number of nieces, nephews and cousins. 





    A private memorial service was held Christmas Day. 





    Mrs. Guinn's body was cremated. Her remains will be interred at a later 

date at the VA Cemetery, Mountain Home.
