CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Maude C. Gallagher, 10 Jun 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Maude C. Gallagher Mrs. Maude C. Gallagher, 93, U.S. Highway 91, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003 in the Life Care Center. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Simpson and Bessie Lewis Crumlery. After graduating from college, she worked for the Oak Ridge Nuclear Plant. She had lived in Florida for several years where she was a teacher in the Fort Lauderdale School System. She returned to Elizabethton in 1982. Mrs. Gallagher was a member of the Hunter United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clint Crumley and three sisters, Lena Nave, Mary Williams, and Helen Marshall. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Gay C. Fletcher, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. GALLAGHER -- Graveside services for Mrs. Maude C. Gallagher, 93, U.S. Highway 91, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2003 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Clate Briggs officiating. Burial will follow the service. Friends may call at the funeral home any time Wednesday. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. Thursday.
