CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Myrtle Byers Crowe Galloway, 2 Aug 2004

Myrtle Byers Crowe Galloway, 82, Highland Avenue, Hickory, N.C., 
S.E., died Monday, August 2, 2004, at Valdese Hospital following an 
extended illness.

Mrs. Galloway was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late 
Arvil D. and Betty Lunceford Byers. She was also preceded in death by her 
first husband, Robert L. Crowe, in 1968, her second husband, Curtis Galloway, 
in 1995, and a son, Darrell Crowe. 

Mrs. Galloway was a homemaker and a member of Gloryland Baptist Church, 
Hildebran, N.C. 

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Wilma Crowe, Lincolnton, 
N.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Jim Frizsell, Rutherford College, 
N.C.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Herman 
Byers, Elizabethton. Several cousins also survive.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, August 5, in 
the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Stockton and 
Rev. Ray Stockton officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral 
home from 1 until 2 p.m. Thursday. Interment will follow the funeral service 
at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from
