RUBY JOHNSON GARDNER

ELIZABETHTON, TN - Ruby Johnson Gardner, 78, formerly of Green Mountain, 
died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003 at Northside Hospital in Johnson City, TN. 
She was the daughter of the late T.T. and Pheobe McKinney Johnson. She 
was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mable Perkins, Gertie Pacillo 
and Belleleen Gouge, and one brother, Ralph Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, G.B. Gardner; three daughters, Peggy Church 
of Elizabethton, Kay Fair of Daytona Beach, FL, and Joah Gardner of Charlotte, 
VT; a son, John Gardner of Nashville, TN; one brother, Arthur Johnson of 
Stockton, CA; two sisters, Naomi Webb of Bakersville, and Lucille Greene of 
Shelby; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church. Revs. Brent Seals and 
Bob Polk officiated. Burial was in Happy Valley Memorial Park.
