Garland Florence Keller Garland, 81, 704 Parkway Boulevard, Elizabethton, died Monday, January 1, 2001, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Garland was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late L.A. and Minnie Laws Keller. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Keller, Hall Keller and Herbert "Bud" Keller. Mrs. Garland was a member of Southside Christian Church. She had worked for 18 years at North American Rayon Corporation and for 16 years for Auda Hardin in the Register of Deeds office. Survivors include her husband, Robert H. Garland, of the home, and a sister, Mrs. Veola Gass, Elizabethton. Nine nieces and four nephews also survive. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, (423) 543-4917, is in charge of arrangements. www.Funeral-Plans.com/Tetrick GARLAND -- Funeral services for Florence Keller Garland, 81, 704 Parkway Boulevard, Elizabethton, who died Monday, January 1, 2001, will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, January 4, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Mr. Keith Whitehead and Mr. Mike Koruschak, ministers, officiating. Music will be under the direction of No Name But His and Angie Bowman, pianist. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 5, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Bradley, Bobby Fair, Dan Simerly, Gordon White, Pat Hicks and Glen Bowling. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence, 704 Parkway Blvd., Elizabethton, at any time.
